Plan now to join us for our 1st annual Hooves & Boots on the Frio Trail Ride, Dinner & Barn Dance on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Big Springs Ranch for Children, near Leakey, TX.
The Trail Ride is open to a small group of 25 intermediate and advanced riders and covers 11.5 miles of our 7,000 acre Big Springs Ranch for Children near Leakey, TX. Riders must supply their own horses and tack and be prepared for a challenging course with potential obstacles involving wildlife, vegetation, water, and bridge crossings.
The ride will be led by ranch manager Michael Priour accompanied by 4 wranglers who are familiar with the trail and terrain. Enjoy the fall colors and cooler weather on one of the most beautiful ranches in the Texas Hill Country and learn about this historic ranch, now home to abandoned and orphaned foster children who thrive in this peaceful and healing environment.
This ride for a cause supports the children’s program at Big Springs Ranch. The cost for the Trail Ride, including the Dinner and Barn Dance is $500 per person or $900 per couple.
For those who do not plan to ride, but would like to join us for the Dinner & Barn Dance, an additional 50 spots are available. It’s going to be a terrific evening with great food, live music, dancing, and a short presentation about the Equestrian program at Big Springs Ranch for Children. See the “Schedule/Activities” content in the navigation menu above for full details and times.
The cost for the Dinner and Barn Dance is $75 per person.
